Please could someone post recommended farfields please. I have good call files and phf files, but really need to test farfields before posting the mix.

You could try the recommended and tested file by CQSTELUSH. They have farfield play, farfield ring, PHF 2 Play, PHF 2 Ring, PHF 2 FM and handset 0 call. I'm using them (with Signatureboy's pack) and they're really really good I'll upload them for you (hope you don't mind CQSTELUSH).
Click here. Looking forward to DLing your pack |

I thought they were pretty good, but was hoping that someone may have created even better ones. I have already found very good call files phf files and handset call files which i have already included, and am only looking for fafields. Thanks for your support, really appreciate it. Okay here we go. The acoustics (no hiss) file has good quality in headset and has no hiss. Loudspeaker is quite loud and very good quality. High quality and loud call files have also been included. Works well with megabass or manual equaliser: 16 4 5 6 16.
Please try it out and post your opinions of these acoustics so i can improve them. This post has been edited by TVH: 2007-06-20 07:06

Okay here we go. This is my acoustic mix tried and tested for w810i, although it should work in k750i/w800 etc. The acoustics (slight hiss) file has very high quality in headset but has slight hiss and loudspeaker is loud enough. High quality and loud call files also included. IMPORTANT: Dont use megabass for these acoustics, instead use manual equaliser : 12 4 2 5 14 The acoustics (no hiss) file has good quality in headset and has no hiss. Loudspeaker is quite loud and very good quality. High quality and loud call files have also been included. Works well with megabass or manual equaliser: 16 4 5 6 16. Please try it out and post your opinions of these acoustics so i can improve them. Hi, I'll test these IF you tell everyone exactly what's inside... BTW, can you reupload original R4EK again? The mix is based on the original r4ea001 acoustics. It contains blackice wow phf files, toshara v1.7 fafields and djk750 call files.
EDIT: The file described above was my slight hiss file which i have deleted. The no hiss file is based on Rufinus v4 acoustics with smellulaters farfields and djk750s call files. Heres the firmware Avalon: R4EK001 This post has been edited by TVH: 2007-07-01 08:44 |

Thank you! However I only needed the acoustics itself... Ok, your mix seems something very very similar to what I'd choose, except maybe djk750's call files... I'll try it! That's how people should do when the come here with "new" acoustics... When nobody knows whats really inside, everybody disagrees! And everybody gets even more confused. Nice... EDIT: You should be aware that in Black Ice's packs SEVERAL files are edited, and some have effect over others... It's not as simple as picking up the phfs and putting them in another acoustic! Ask him for more information. If thats true and blackice edits serveral files, wouldnt it be easier for me to use his acoustic as a base and just copy my fafields and call files onto it? |

Yup, but as he said to me, farfields will sound like the ones included... I haven't confirmed this yet myself but if he says so then I believe him. I'm currently working on a acoustic that relies mainly on original stuff, only with a few well know files thrown in... EDIT: WOW is not supposed to have much hiss... You missed VHF_2500_play.apf and VHF_2501_play.apf! -- AvaloN This post has been edited by AvaloN: 2007-06-18 21:30 -------------------- Sony Ericsson W810i + 4Gb Sandisk Pro DUO + Sennheiser PX-100 (HPM-70)

And what call files would you recommend instead of the ones i have used (i thought that these were meant to be the best? lol). Ill upload an updated mix later if i make changes. |

But what did you think of my mix? Is the current one any good? And what call files would you recommend instead of the ones i have used (i thought that these were meant to be the best? lol). Ill upload an updated mix later if i make changes. Well, seems good to me. The one with slight hiss definitely hisses more than original WOW. Also I'm not quite sure that that phf_2_play is also from WOW... It seems different. Best handset files seems to be from original R4E, best farfield_play is from R4D (I think its better than R4E), farfield_ring from smellulater, phf_2_play from R4D (other phfs to get rid of hiss during startup?), phf_2_fm which is mongoose loudv2, mixed with R1C VHFs... Bahh its more work to choose than to enjoy... Your's is quite good overall... Everyone has its own preferences though... Try these, that's what I've come so far (without using the wonderful WOW). Don't forget to restart 2x (tends to clear hiss). Please tell me what you think (it'll have lower volume, but Better quality... No hiss. Use MegaBass). Maybe we can start some team mixing! LoL -- AvaloN Order of assembly: R1C +R4D (full set) -handset_play -BT_hbh-608_call.apf +BTC_hcb-700_call.apf +farfield_ring (SmellULater) +phf_2_fm (Mongoose3800) -- Optional files (use only in W810 if you notice low hiss!): VHF_2500_call.apf VHF_2500_play.apf VHF_2500_ring.apf VHF_2501_call.apf VHF_2501_play.apf VHF_2501_ring.apf EQ: 15 - 8 - 4 - 7 - 13 or MegaBass (normalized MP3s) This post has been edited by AvaloN: 2007-06-18 23:52

Lol yeah why not try team mixing, we might be able to create the best acoustic pack and finally sort out the massive mess that all the different acoustics have caused lol. The phf_2_play was definatley from WOW. Also, i used qwerty's modding guide to tell me what the differnt files do and i was under the impression that VHF files were for vehicle handsfree, didnt know that they helped remove hiss lol. Why are you trying to create a mix based on original stuff? I would have thought using modded files such as blackice's WOW would create a better pack lol. Anyway, ill try out your mix and let you know what i think when i get home from school. This post has been edited by TVH: 2007-06-19 15:51 |

Avalon ur mix is pretty good - really like the call files. However, music on backspeaker is just not loud enough for me even though it is very good quality. Also, the acoustics are very good quality in headset, and has enough volume for me with only slight hiss. However, it doesnt have enough bass for me. Still its a great pack
Also. does anyone know if there is a patch for the w810i to move the acoustics folder to memory card because it takes ages to use flash, mod with FAR and reflash. Id be grateful to anyone that found or created such a patch, it make mixing these acoustics so much easier This post has been edited by TVH: 2007-06-19 17:11 |

My new mix uses the blackice wow acoustics as a base. Ive added farfields from smellulater, and taken the handset_0_call.apf and handset_1_call.apf from the mix you posted earlier. Mongoose's phf_2_fm also included. Please could you try these acoustics and see if they are better. I'm busy these days... But that seems really appealing to me! I'll test it tomorrow... Let's bring skindeep along! All of us 3 are doing the same thing so I believe it would be best to do it together... -- AvaloN This post has been edited by AvaloN: 2007-06-19 20:35 -------------------- Sony Ericsson W810i + 4Gb Sandisk Pro DUO + Sennheiser PX-100 (HPM-70)
