I think everyone has seen what you lose when you debrand your w580i, but here's some not so common things I've noticed.
First of all I had a USA At&t branded w580i.
1 -- The "Play Now" feature is available on the main menu, but every category you browse you get the following message... "Sorry, we don't have any <wallpapers, etc..> currently available for your location."
2 -- When trying to download content from www.sonyericsson.com/fun from the phone's browser you get "http 404: page not found" when clicking the download link.
I have a feeling the two issues are related. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

did you set up the WAP settings again? If not, go to www.sonyericsson.com -> support and you can get them to push the proper wap settings to your phone

SE was giving me a 404 error on some of the links in the themes on the WAP site yesterday tried earlier and they did work maybe they were working on it?

It seems AT&T had some control over your files, so now you kicked them off, you have this situation.
About the links maybe the site was down, or maybe the settings are not restored properly.
Try another custom.

I meant going onto the sony ericsosn site on your PC, then going to support. There is an option for them to send WAP settings to your phone number for free

Both features work for me. When you go to the first page in "Fun", what does it say your location and phone are? Those are important.
The Laura custpack will work best, as the CDA is correct for your phone. However (probably because it is R1 and I am using R8 firmware) it makes my camera not work without a memory stick installed (it tries to save files in a place that doesn't exist, I guess).

Do you have the R8 MAIN and FS for the USA / America?
I'm using R6 as you can see.

No, and I had no problems when I used R6BC002 MAIN GENERIC LA and R6BC002 FS AMERICA 1 ... I believe it has more to do with the custpack than with the FS.
