Sony Ericsson Widget Manager v2.1 !
© mc_kibel, kaczmar22 (CentrumSE.pl/Forum)

Official Polish Topic about SE WidgetManager: http://centrumse.pl/...-tylko-download

We are presenting advanced widget manager for SE!
First of all: you don't need to know about tuning, to use this!
Supported phones: all SE Phones with Flash Lite 2.0 (and newer) and screen resolution 240x320.

-About SE-WM 2.0 (Sony Ericsson Widget Manager v2.0).
1. Supporting flash widgets - Up to 10 widgets on one screen, so you can have 20 widgets together!
2. Multi-screen option! Shake phone to the left -> it loads first configuration, to the right -> loads second configuration, to the front -> loads third configuration, to the right -> loads fourth configuration!
3. Ability to turn on/off widgets, when music is on.
4. Easy configuration via XML file - much optimized XML in v2.0!
5. You don't need to reboot phone to see changes - just set WidgetManager as wallpaper again.
6. Fully configurable widgets paths and names (needed for Multi-screen).
7. Separate wallpapers for different configurations.

-Installing SE-WM

1. Download WidgetManager 2.1.rar from attachment
2. Extract it. Copy whole WidgetManager 2.0 folder to pictures on phone.
3. Set WidgetManager.swf as wallpaper.
This pack (v2.1) has got included example config, which looks like that:
(First screen - config 1, second - config 2 etc)
Posted Image Posted Image

Posted Image Posted Image

-Configuration SE-WM
XML file in v2.0 is changed - older configurations won't work with this version and new won't work with old. [Now it's released SEWM v2.1 - it works with .xml from 2.0 w/out problem :) ]
1. Open config.xml from WidgetManager 2.0 folder.
2. You see:
<widgets>
	<main_settings>
		<multi_screen enable="true"/>
	</main_settings>

		<widget1 wpath="Screen1/Winamp.swf" enable="true" xpos="0" ypos="210" mdisable="false" menable="true"/>
		<widget2 wpath="Screen1/Analog.swf" enable="true" xpos="128" ypos="25" mdisable="false" menable="false"/>
		<widget3 wpath="Screen1/PhoneStatus.swf" enable="true" xpos="0" ypos="25" mdisable="false" menable="false"/>
	</screen1>

	<screen2 wallpaper="Screen2/Lake.jpg">
		<widget1 wpath="Screen2/HTCClock.swf" enable="true" xpos="4" ypos="25" mdisable="false" menable="false"/>
		<widget2 wpath="Screen2/HTCPlayer.swf" enable="true" xpos="5" ypos="190" mdisable="false" menable="true"/>
		<widget3 wpath="Screen2/Notes.swf" enable="true" xpos="0" ypos="180" mdisable="true" menable="false"/>
	</screen2>
</widgets>
main_settings section:
You can enable/disable Multi-Screen option here - true or false. If it's false, configurations won't change after shake.

-enable: enable/disable widget - true or false
-xpos: position from left edge of screen
-ypos: position from top edge of screen
-mdisable: disable widget, when music is on - true or false
-menable: show widget only, when music is on - true or false
-Want more widgets? Add next lines, like this:

Quote

<widgetX wpath="folder/file.swf" enable="true" xpos="10" ypos="20" mdisable="false" menable="false"/>
Instead of X put widget number [higher than previous position].
screen2, screen3, screen4 section:
-it's the same like screen1 section  ^-^

-Set path to wallpapers here: <screenX wallpaper="...."/>
-Recommended extension - jpg.
-Notes
- you can't set mdisable and menable to 'true' simultaneously.
It may be: false - false ; false - true ; true - false.

#705015 ClearBass 2.4 - Completely rewritten! All platforms

Posted mc_kibel on 13 July 2010 - 11:16 PM

Welcome!

After very very long break with developing ClearBass elf, I decided to completely rewrite this elf.

I fixed ALL bugs and improved some things. In this version:
- Saving last preset and restoring it after restart of player (you don't have to set preset everytime )
- When you go to equalizer, you will see last opened equalizer and last presets

- SWFs are not used anymore!
- Support for DB2020, DB3150, DB3210
- Support for DB3350 by juhu07 here!

Comparing to older DB2020 version, there are some more important changes:
- Now only one elf is working, not three (it was manager, manual, presets)
- Affecting sound in real time (you don't have to press 'select' to hear the difference)
- Huge code optimization

Warning!
Needed events:
UI_MEDIAPLAYER_AUDIO_PLAYING_TIME_EVENT
UI_MEDIAPLAYER_CREATED_EVENT
At the moment these are not preset in any A2's dyn_const.bin, so I spend some time for porting it. Dyn_const for DB3150v1 (ported by Madfish) / DB3150v2, DB3210 and DB2020 in attachment.

1. Installation
- First of all: remove everything connected with old version!
- Install patch:
;ClearBass Equalizer add-on
;(!) For new version 2.0
;Sending event 0x3020 when pressing 'Equalizer' in music application
;(c) mc_kibel

Here's ASM for porters:
Spoiler
- Download ClearBass.zip, extract it.
- Put elf to ZBin or Daemons.
- Download equalizer.zip
- Exract it, place all files from archive to /Zbin/Config/Equalizer [phone memory]
- Download Equalizer_Display_QVGA.zip - put Equalizer_Display.xml from this archive to /Zbin/Config/Equalizer [phone memory]
- Run elf

2. Usage
- Start music
- Press more -> settings -> equalizer
- That's all, now you can play as long as you want :D

Posted Image Posted Image

Posted Image Posted Image

3. Replacing ClearBass presets (creating EQS files) - Optional, not necessary
- Let's take a look at this screenshot:
Posted Image

- Let's create EQS file with this preset. We can see:
-->> in 1st band: 14
-->> in 2nd band: 14
-->> in 3rd band: 4
-->> in 4th band: 5
-->> in 5th band: 6

- Count: visible level - 8 + 20
- In this case:
-->> for 1st band: 14 - 8 + 20 = 26
-->> for 2nd band: (same as first) 26
-->> for 3rd band: 4 - 8 + 20 = 16
-->> for 4th band: 17
-->> for 5th band: 18

- Convert value to hex
-->> for 1st band: 0x1A
-->> for 2nd band: 0x1A
-->> for 3rd band: 0x10
-->> for 4th band: 0x11
-->> for 5th band: 0x12

- Write values into file by WinHex:
Posted Image

- Save file as PresetX.eqs (number of preset instead of X, 1-9), then put it to ZBin/Config/Equalizer in phone memory.

Changelog:

Quote

v2.4
- Now Equalizer is drawn directly on player (Thanks to Julionaru!)
- Update Equalizer_Display.xml and whole Equalizer folder!
v2.3
- Hiding softkeys background (A2 phones only)
- Extremely faster XML parser (starting elf is much faster) - YOU HAVE TO UPDATE Equalizer_Display.xml !
v2.2:
- Edited for new ElfPack
- DrawLibs are not used anymore
v2.1
- Ability to edit presets (.eqs files)
- Placement of items is dependent from Equalizer_Display.xml
- Fixed softkeys order
- Config path changed to /ZBin/Config/Equalizer

#568559 Tutorial | A2 Permanent Patching

Posted Kaosblade on 22 September 2009 - 05:47 PM

Kb's Tutorial for A2 Permanent Patching

Please note: as of 31st August 2010 there is NO FREE method for red to brown conversion! so please don't ask and save boysie the pain!

Please use Posted Image at the end of the post if you found this helpful.

I WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU KILL OR DAMAGE YOUR PHONE. THIS IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
IF IT DOES HAPPEN, REFLASH YOUR PHONE'S MAIN/FS. HAPPY PATCHING.

Tools you will need

(all download links are available in the second post of this topic with installation help)

Omnius Server (account needed)
A2 Uploader (latest version or 19.09.2009+)
A starting patch you want to use
Sony Ericsson A2 Phone
CodeClaw CXC Patcher (v0.3+)
Far Manager
Den-Po's FAR CXC Patcher Plugin

Darkmen's FAR SEFP2 FileSystem Plugin

IF YOUR PHONE IS CERTIFICATE BROWN PLEASE SKIP TO STEP 9.

IF YOUR PHONE IS CERTIFICATE RED PLEASE START FROM STEP 1.

From step 9 you can choose between 3 different A2 permanent patching methods. All of them involve using A2uploader. Either A2 Uploader, CodeClaw CXC Patcher or den_po's Far CXC Patcherplugin. All of them work.

1. Start Up Omnius & enter your registered acount details by pressing the "settings" button and clicking "server settings".
2. Choose your phone on the top left. A full list of phones that can be browned for free: http://bit.ly/allaoN
3. Click Advanced & the following dialogue should show.

Posted Image

4. Click "Replace FW Security Certificate" and click OK.
5. Now choose "Brown Certificate (developer)" under the drop down and click OK. We need brown to patch. ;)

6. Remove the phone battery and wait at least 5 seconds before re-inserting it.
7. Connect the phone holding down the buttons 2+5.

8. Wait until the entire process finishes. Now your phone is brown and ready to patch. :good:

To reverse:

Certificate Conversion

Follow exactly the same steps but on step 5 choose "Red Certificate (retail)". But why would you wanna do that.

A2 Uploader Method - Easiest yet slowest.

9. Open up A2 Uploader.
10. Where it says "MISC" browse for the VKP patch you want.
11. Now where it says "E" click it and the patch should open up in notepad.
12. Add this line to the beginning of the patch.

;pAtChFiLe=/boot/phone_app.cxc

Make sure there are no gaps or spaces in this. This normally gives an "ACK" fs error.

13. Hit CTRL + S. Or save it. (This can be done before step 15.)
14. Now on A2 Uploader click "WRITE SCRIPT".
15. Connect your phone as usual, but this time hold down "c". If your phone's power button is "c" then connect with 2+5.
16. Wait. A2 Uploader takes a long time. Even with small patches. When a popup comes up click "NO". Wait some more.
17. After it says, "ELAPSED: xx secs." it has ended, and you can unplug your phone.

That's it! You have successfully patched your A2 CID 52 phone!
Now to keep patching you only need to start from step 14.

To reverse:

Patching

At step 15 click "YES" using exactly the same settings.

CodeClaw CXC Patcher Method - Not hard to understand, and faster than A2 Uploader.

9. Open up A2 Uploader or FAR SEFP2 (see "advantages between different methods" below).
10. Click "FileSystem Tool".
11. Connect your phone as usual, but this time hold down "c". If your phone's power button is "c" then connect with 2+5.
12. Wait. On the right you should see your phone's FS.
13. Double Click "/BOOT".
14. Now, right-click "phone_app.cxc" and click "Read". A2 Uploader will download your phone_app.cxc to a folder called "ph_out" which is located somewhere in the A2 Uploader program dir.
15. Click "SHUTDOWN FS MANAGER".
16. You do not need to repeat the last steps after completed once. As phone_app.cxc is saved on your computer.

17. Now time for some CodeClaw magic! Open up CXC Patcher.

Posted Image

18. On the left click "VKP LIST".
19. Click the "Add" button and browse to your patch.

Posted Image

20. The best thing about CXC Patcher is that multiple patching is available! To do this...

By clicking the "Add" button you can keep adding patches. They appear in the "VKP List". The program has a nifty feature of adding and removing them. You can also Edit them but this is not needed.

Posted Image

21. After you have decided what patches to apply in the "VKP List". On the left click, "Patch!". ^-^
22. In the input box, browse for the "phone_app.cxc" you downloaded using A2 Uploader.
23. In the output box, browse to the place you want the patched "phone_app.cxc" to end up. (After patching).

Posted Image

24. To start patching, click "Patch VKP List". CXC Patcher is faster than A2 Uploader because we have already downloaded the "phone_app.cxc" manually. Whereas in the A2 Uploader method it is done automatically by adding a line into the patch.
This is not needed for CXC Patcher. :)

Posted Image

25. After the bottom bar has reached 100% the patching is done.
26. Now reupload the phone_app.cxc that was outputted back to your phone's FS in "/BOOT".
27. This is obviously done using A2 Uploader or FAR SEFP2 (see "advantages between different methods" below)..

To reverse:

One or more patches without removing all

Add the patches you want to remove into "VKP List".
And in the "Patch!" section tick the box "Reverse Patches".

All Patches

Re-upload your original "phone_app.cxc" using A2 Uploader.

Den_Po's FAR CXC Plugin Method - Hardest but fastest and best.

17. Now for some of that legendary software by Den_Po! Open up FAR Manager.

Posted Image

18. On the left side browse to where your downloaded "phone_app.cxc" is located.
19. On the right side browse to where your patch(es) is/are located.
20. Now, on the left open "phone_app.cxc" by double clicking it.
21. Just for the purposes of understanding, on the left you now have an open "phone_app.cxc" ready to be patched. (Just like the list feature in the CodeClaw method).
22. On the right click on the patch you want to use. And hit F5 on your keyboard. Then it will ask for confirmation and just click "copy" that comes up in the grey box.

Posted Image

23. The patch is written to your .cxc ready to be patched. (Again just like the list feature in the CodeClaw method).
24. You can also add more patches again before patching. (Multiple patching).
25. Now to apply the patches. On the left above all the patches you have copied, there should be a "..." (which refer's to the parent folder).

26. Double click on this.
27. A dialog box should pop up and should say "saving" with a loading bar. This is when the patches are all applied.
28. Wait until this is done and you should be taken back to where you opened "phone_app.cxc" from.

Posted Image

29. Your "phone_app.cxc" is now patched, and ready for re-uploading!
30. Now reupload the phone_app.cxc that was outputted back to your phone's FS in "/BOOT".
31. This is obviously done using A2 Uploader or FAR SEFP2 (see "advantages between different methods" below)..

To reverse:

One or more patches without removing all

Open the "phone_app.cxc" like in step 21 and delete any of the patches in the list and click "..." to save.

All Patches

Re-upload your original "phone_app.cxc" using A2 Uploader.

-----------------------------------------------

Advantages between different methods - which one is the best?

A2 Uploader => Automatically download's and uploads everything for you. Although this makes the patching process very slow and doesn't usually allow multiple patching. + adding the extra line to the patch can be a nightmare.

CodeClaw CXC Patcher => Very fast patching. Multiple patching makes life a whole lot easier (if you're brave enough ^-^ ). Although, you have to download & upload everything manually using A2 Uploader or Far SEFP2. However, you don't have to add any extra lines to the patch(es)

Den_po's FAR CXC Patch Plugin => The fastest method of A2 patching known. Period. Supports multiple patching and there is no patching line needed to be added to patches. As this is a FAR plugin, it is convienient to use FAR SEFP2 to upload back the phone_app.cxc without having to touch other programs.

View PostCorman, on 20 August 2010 - 03:42 PM, said:

The quickest way to upload is to have SEFP2 open in the right pane and FAR CXC patcher in the left pane. Then you can just close phone_app.cxc and drag it to the right.

The best method known as of 20/08/2010 is....

FAR MANAGER! This way you only need to open one program*, it's fast, it's multiple patching and it's simple! A2 patching couldn't be made easier by Den_Po & Darkmen. All you need is CXC & SEFP2 plugins installed. It's genius. ;D
*(unless you need to brown, then you use Omnius once) (:

#749204 SE Widget Suite

Posted mc_kibel on 16 October 2010 - 09:59 PM

Sony Ericsson WidgetSuite
© 2010 mc_kibel

General information:
This project is extended and modified version of SE WidgetManager. It's dedicated for DB3350 phones, but it will work on any A2.
Important: To export your own created configuration, you will need Adobe Flash CS3 (or newer). You can get free 30-days trial on Adobe site.

1. How to use?
You need to create your own configuration first.
Download Sony Ericsson WidgetSuite Editor 1.1:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/ipatwg

Watch the example video, showing how to create complete configuration.

More about SE WidgetSuite Editor:
-To enable/disable widget, click on it on the list.
-If widget is already enabled, click "E" to edit its properties.
-Click Prev. / Next screen to switch between screens.
-Click on "Simulate Media Player" to enable media player simulation.

Did you watch the video? Ok! Just copy content of textbox after pressing "Generate" and paste all to Config.txt in WidgetSuite directory on PC.
Now, open WidgetSuite.fla, click "Publish" at the bottom (CS3) or "Edit" near the "Publish" (CS4), then click "Publish" in just created window:

Posted Image

You can close Adobe Flash now. WidgetSuite.swf is ready to be copied to phone. Copy WidgetSuite.swf only and set it as wallpaper.

To switch between screens, shake your phone (to the left -> previous screen ; to the right -> next screen).

You can also download archive from attachment and use default config to see posibilities of this modification.

2. What's harder than in WidgetManager?
-Getting weather.
--Go to http://weather.joeearl.co.uk/
--Download weather for your city.
--Download WeatherFix.rar and extract it.
--Drag and drop weather.txt on WeatherFix.exe
--Remove weather.txt and rename just created weather.txt.fix.txt do weather.txt
--Place new weather.txt into WidgetManager.fla directory.

-Setting note text
--Open Note.txt. It's easy to edit, so I think I don't need to explain :)

-Changing wallpaper is also harder:
--Open WidgetSuite.fla, open "Main Content" in the library window and click twice on "Tween 1".
--Click on image and press "delete".
--Press CTRL+R and select new wallpaper (480x320!)
--Publish it.

-After getting weather, editing note and changing wallpaper, you need to open WidgetSuite.fla and Publish it (as I wrote before).

#737491 IMW - Interactive Music Widget

Posted mc_kibel on 18 September 2010 - 10:31 AM

Hi,
inspired by Android, I wanted to check if I remember something about creating elfs for SE. It seems I do :cool:

Functions:
- Interactive widget
- Ability to play/pause music or change track
- Quick access to media player

Important:
- If you're using Deskbar, you need to update elf to v3.33!
- Elf is tested only on DB2020, I have no A2 phone for testing so I don't know if I will add A2 support.

1. Installation
- Download Music.zip, extract it. Put all files from archive to ZBin/Config/Widgets/Music in phone memory
- Download IMW.rar, extract, put elf to ZBin, run it.
- Deactivate shortcuts in settings.

2. Usage
- Press up/down to set or unset focus to widget
- Press left/right to switch between buttons
---- first: play/pause
---- second: show media player
---- third: next track
- Accept: press "C" button.

3. Screenshots:
